Christmas family photos in your home can be a very meaningful experience. Not only will you have the comfort of all the things you need, but photos of you as a family experiencing your own holiday traditions. As the years go by, you can look at how things change or stay the same. It adds a new layer of meaning, since the setting will be familiar.

Owlie and Theo (the little owl and tiger, they are made of plush, but don’t tell them I told you) that help me photograph families, dressed in their favorite holiday clothes and went with me to photograph the Gutierrez family in their home.

As an aside, some wonderful tidbits of photo advice, having a color scheme helps a lot to give photos continuity and will look good as prints year round in your home. They have a minimalist style, so they dressed in white, pink and black to go with their home decor. This is something to keep in mind when choosing what to wear.

Of course, during a photoshoot, plan for little ones to play and make faces—sometimes the “imperfect” expressions can become a family favorite and little ones love to see themselves in photos.

Above all, having fun and making memories as a family are what taking photos together is all about and I love to help families tell their unique story.

Merry Christmas from Freddy and me, Juliet and Owlie and Theo and soon, Minnie Mouse <3

We love you and are looking forward to seeing you soon!
